Happy Birfday Stacy

Birfdays are a matter of Life and Deaf, as Puff Daddy would eloquently say.
Tomorrow is Stacy's 21st Birthday. Yippee. She is skipping class to take us out and buy us drinks. If I can muster up enough excitment, I may just dress up a little, maybe wear some dangly earrings and some blush. Ooo, rouge. I think it will be a fun evening. I honestly was thinking, for her birthday gift, of getting a male stripper to come to the dorm for her. Some really nasty male stripper- the kind of guys Stacy likes. That would be the stupidest thing Carlow's dorms has ever experienced, besides maybe the beer brewing.
Also, this lady I'm helping at work said she thought the microfilm department was like going back in time. Ooo, that's awesome.Yes, yes, going back in time...

Like what this crazy lady on the EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network) said- that going to mass, e.i. a Catholic church service, is like transcending space and time...

Time Warp!

It really doesn't feel like it's January. I don't mean weather wise, but time wise. Time is fucking with me. I feel like it was September right now. Ringa reminded me it is her birthday next Friday, and I thought to myself, "Her birthday isn't in September." I always say that this college career is one big long semester that started somtime in August 2002 and has included mainly Dr. Dennison classes (that all blend together), and a few other literature classes and some philosophy classes -because these are the ones that I remember. Still, don't ask me to tell you what year and semester those were, really it all just happened sometime in college. I feel like this will all be over and I won't even realize it. And NO, it's not that I'm getting old, it's that I have been either constantly thinking/working or completely vegetative. Okay, no, there were a lot of times of concious fun and relaxation. Maybe, today, it's that I'm tired and cannot sleep. Well, chin up -is what I say to Suzanne. Anyway, this was prompted by me looking through the old Yernal or whatever, and I read something that was posted in September that I thought I just posted. Oh my god, the time.
Perhaps a tasty nap???

Is it Wrong that--

I almost tossed my betta fish (you know, Andrew) in with my other three fish (2 tetras and a tiger barb) to see who would win the fight?

I'm putting money on Alligator.

Is it wrong that I like when my bagel tastes like other bagels? When there's a spot of onion on my raisin bagel...

I'll tell you what's wrong, is being too nice to the robot chic in from Metropolis last night and kicking poor old anal retentive C3PO in the alloy shin. They claimed they were sisters.

Sure, sisters. C3PO is totally gay.

The Tolkien Society

Thanks to SciFi Daily, I found that J.R.R. Tolkien's 113th birthday is tomorrow. Apparently the Tolkien Society is hosting a toast for his birthday. Read more about it on SciFi Daily...

Meanwhile, yes, Tolkien wrote the Lord of the Rings books, and The Hobbit, among others. I never was into that style of literature, especially since I saw the cartoon version of The Hobbit when I was little and hated it. In the last few weeks though, I've watched the LOTR movies on DVD, since my parents had gotten into it. Many people tried to convince me that they are awesome movies, but of course I would not believe anyone. I had to see them for myself. So, after dinner at the 'rents' house, I watched each of them in order, and by the time I got to The Return of the King, I was super excited. Whether you like fantasy or not, I guarentee you will love these movies. They're not so much fantasy as just alagories, so to speak, of The World as we know it. The Return of the King DVD has a documentary by National Geographic that compares some characters and events to those in history. Tolkien himself had participated in WWI and had a son in WWII, and he was also a professor of Anglo-Saxon (at Oxford maybe...?) So, he knows what he is talking about. This isn't flakey, silly fantasy with pixies and evil wizards and shit. It's solid, thoughtful, real stuff. It's so good! See these movies!

Nothing Changes on New Years Day

Oh, I don't make New Years Resolutions, but if I did, it would be to get that darn Skiddlywaggon out of my closet. Why don't I make New Years Resolutions? I don't know. I didn't know that I did or didn't. Everything seems to have carried over from whatever happened prior to December 31. Not that that's a bad thing. Okee Dokee, have a good day everyone.
